Robert Fisk.

I’m so wonderfully tired
of “really great spaces,”
when I just want to wander
through beautiful places
so sick to the hilt
of these white washed tombs
masquerading as art,
when they’re just plain “rooms,”

I remember when “space,”
was the business of stars!
not the business of drones
and bleach-boring-bazaars…
I recall when it held
common ground with the moon!
not the way pompous trendsetters
flounced though a room…
I remember when space
was the final frontier!
not the local, brushed white,
with a micro-brewed beer
so stop painting rooms white,
then calling it “art!”
speak words full of truth
that cut to the heart
because life is to bold
to back down from full colour
and these blanched, frail efforts
make it
that
much
duller.
